Stephanie Swift was cat with a canary and a cherry on top pleased that Homegrown Video had so gloriously and obviously worshipped the ground she fucked on enough to paint a glowing tribute to her on our tradeshow booth. There was absolutely no use trying to explain that it was completely by accident and that the artist had no intention of painting her.  He was merely guided by a strange and inexplicable artistic instinct that forced his hand and twisted his arguable genius to do so.  Somehow, while looking at another girl’s picture as a reference for the painting he had allowed the nozzle of the spray paint to guide his hand. We should have made sure he wasn’t using the Stephanie Swift brand nozzles or something.

By the time we realized the error, it was too late to change it. We couldn’t paint in a boob job that would expand her chest to immense proportions and take the focus from her face. We couldn’t draw in a curly mustache because Homegrown has never had a market share in the he/she niche. The moment I tried to make these points to her I felt the desire to clarify everything become so muddied as to make the facts completely unrecognizable.  Where would I start? No, we didn’t want to paint you it just worked out that way, or, yes, we wanted to paint you but you didn’t want it that way. So I just tried to make the best of it and pay her a compliment though every fiber of my being was twitching and tweaking at the fact that she had dumped us to go be someone else’s big starlet  and crowd drawing distraction from the competition and attraction for the new customers.

“I really like it.” Stephanie finally admitted. The compliment almost felt like critique because it was so hard to tell from her monotone of voice what she liked about it, and the wisp of smile that could so easily be the snide amusement of contempt didn’t make it easier. But what is not to like about an iconic nude portrait of you which is placed on exhibition for thousands to see? For an up and coming porn star, eager to lose her amateur porn status and move onto contract star glory, this was the kind of exposure that would certainly elevate  her well beyond the “new piece of ass” level of anonymity and onto the prima donna pedestal under which prostrate fans would adore her… like a classic partially nude Grecian statue with exposed pert breasts the fans would look up in wonder and try to peek  up her toga.
