Moffitt forwarded me your email and pic samples and I would like to share some feedback gleaned from our members/fans and advice from my years as a fellow amateur and gonzo style porn producer. Take it or leave it as you see fit; my goal is simply to improve our business with you going forward.
While some of your stuff has been well recieved, recently there has been sort of a negative trend in your material that we need to correct in order to keep doing business with you. Specifically, our fans are starting to leave comments like “girl is hot but guy is kind of a dick” which is kind of harsh but don’t worry since you aren’t the first and won’t be the last that we get that feedback on. What tends to happen with guys that shoot especially brand new amateur girls on a regular basis is that they tend to get a bit cold, calloused, and overly curt with the girls – this is done in the spirit of being “professional”, trying to get through the shoot with a thousand concerns like technical quality and client satisfaction weighing in and complicating things.
Obviously, some days go better than others. Some times the chemistry is there and sometimes it just isn’t. I understand that since I started as an amateur porn talent/producer myself shooting for the original Homegrown owners, LBO, OGV, and others. Looking at just the photos of the recent blond barely legal model, and I admit that I might be wrong here since I am just looking at the stills and not the actual video, she just doesn’t look like she is having fun and that is the most important quality we are looking for in amateur sex tapes. We would be willing to check out the raw footage, but if my instincts are right, honed by years of experience in this industry, then we might have to reject the scene based on that deficiency.
To us, for example, it is not so important that you got her to do anal. It is way more critical that she shows a natural enthusiasm, or adventureous spirit, or raw lust, or something along those lines. I am not accusing you of this, but I have seen other producers (I used to work extensively with Max Hardcore for example) that basically talk models into doing things that they might otherwise usually not want to do, which they feel horrible giving into doing, and which shows in the sort of dead and expressionless performance that might be a turn on for some types of audiences but certainly not ours. I understand that you will get paid more from most people if you turn in an anal scene, even better if you captured her losing her “anal virginity” for the first time on camera. Unfortunately, unless that comes across as a positive and fun experience, even if they can’t do it after trying, then we are most likely going to look at the other content coming through the door that week; you heard that right… we would rather get a “happy failure” willing subject anal attempt, than a “forced march” do-it-or-you-won’t-get-paid anal scene.
These days there are too many producers trying to sell us content and we can be more highly selective than ever. You take great stills and your video quality is as good as we see so that is not an issue for us at all. What we really need is for you to remember how to get into the spirit of what great sex really is all about and make it fun again… not just for you to get your rocks off and get paid, but also for the girls you do videos with since that is ultimately what is going to keep our members happy. And if our members are happy… then that means we are all getting paid at the end of the day.

Moffitt forwarded me your email and I have taken a look at the scene we have purchased and added to our website. On the positive side, the couple is very attractive which is of course always a good thing in this business. On the negative side, our members are very particular and very vocal and despite the good looks, our members reviewed the scene very poorly. This is not due to the lighting, sound, or camera-work which are all fine in my opinion.
The reason for the bad reviews, and I agree with our members on this, is that the couple really don’t seem into each other and seem to be “going through the motions” and looking more forward to the end of the scene than anything else. They constantly seem to be looking at the camera person with that “are we done yet” and “can we move on and get this over with” type of expression that comes from people that either don’t want to be there at all, or not performing with the other person. They are having sex, but they seem completely bored with each other and with being in an amateur sex video.

Viewers know and see the difference, and no matter how good looking the couple are, if they don’t look like they are enjoying themselves then our members will criticize us harshly. I know that your outfit is a respected content company but since you are a production company that means your goal is to get as many sales as possible and as many scenes as you can sell the better it is. Unfortunately, these results in an “assembly line” approach that means you lose a lot of the human interaction, true enjoyment, and sincere personality of the sexuality that is so important to us.
